Term 1 Week 5
Today (Wednesday) i have officially finished my draft Structure chart. I have also for the first half of this week edited my system flowchart so both diagrams include everything required by the client.

From revising my diagrams i discovered and learnt the simple process or subroutines in both diagrams that i had forgotten, like sort algorithms and delete process. After revising the symbols and becoming more knowledgeable with my project i was able to refine these diagrams 

Term 1 Week 4
This week in software i continued work on my system documentation. I started both my structure chart and my System Flowchart, finishing the system flowchart today. This is only a draft and change will possibly be made. As for the rest of the week and over the weekend i plan to hopefully finish my structure chart.

From starting my system flowchart and structure chart i learnt the correct symbols for each diagram and become fimiliar with what each one means. The main example of this was the telecommunication line that occurs when the user emails a quote or invoice. Through learning exactly what a telecommunication link actually means i will now be able to implement it into my project  

After the Christmas brake and the first 2 weeks of school down, project work has began. Over the holidays i unfortunately didnt get a chance to work on my major project, due to catching up on theory work. As i stand today i have a draft IPO chart, Context Diagram and GUI Mockups, i plan to now move onto my Data Flow Diagram, Data Dictionary, Structure chart and System FlowChart.

From creating my context diagram i became familiar again with the skills and rules that system documentation has, for example i originally had my square as a process and my circle as the external entity. After revising context diagrams i made the change to make the diagram correct. As for the IPO chart i learnt what inputs will actually be processed and become outputs, i discovered the correct processing and output from my inputs.
