Since Wednesday last week i have now progressed to algorithms. Last week i finished off my structure chart, my system flowchart, my context diagram and my Data Flow diagram. This week i have finished my splash algorithm, my main form algorithm, my login algorithm, my Overall algorithm, my view products and clients database algorithms and finally my create quote algorithm. I still have a lot more algorithms to complete before commencing into the implementing stage.
From the advancement of system documentation to algorithms i have learnt a range of skills. These included what symbols to use for a further defined subroutine, the use of on form decisions and sequence logic. As for the system documentation i have learnt and discovered the correct data and symobols required for each diagram. I had to go back and refine my diagrams after forgotten data was added. I also learnt this week what data lines need to be annotated in a Data Flow Diagram as i previous thought every line needed to be, but as it turns out thats not the case.
