Term 2 Holidays
During these three week holidays i have unfortunately struggled to find the time to work on my major project. However, during the study camp week, this last week of the holidays i have the chance to effectively and efficiently work on my Software Major catching up on a lot of work that needs to be completed.
Unfortunately i have left a large portion of this assignment to the last minute and this week of the holidays is a great chance to try get back on top of the work load that needs to be done before the assessments due on the 29th of July.
During the Monday and Tuesday of this week so far i have successfully completed my overview of hardware and software question, my discussion of development approaches questions, edited and updated my gantt charts, finished my system documentation overview and justification question, edited and finished my IPO chart, worked on my test plan and report and finished my Social and ethical issues questions. For the rest of the week i plan to go back and update/finish the rest of my system modelling tools, namely the context diagram, data flow diagram, User Interface designs, structure chart and system flowchart. I also plan to start and finish my data dictionary and storyboards which were forgotten about before. Finally i plan to work through a large amount of my pseudocode basing it off my already completed flowchart algorithms.
This intel will put me in a good position for the last two weeks until the due date. I will in those two weeks have to finish coding and documenting my code, create a user manual, finish my test data table, complete my maintenance overview and most likely finish of my pseudocode algorithms. As well as all of this i will need to go over and check and update my whole folio for any errors or mistakes.
As a reflection on my major project, these last two weeks have been a great learning curb for me. Throughout this time i have learnt about how good time management leads to less stress and how good organisation and planning makes completing tasks much easier.
